eCommerce Business Planning Process

Requirements Analysis
On receiving a new e-commerce project, a detailed Requirement Analysis is done by our team. through calls and a well-structured questionnaire. This is the first engagement of the e-commerce business project. Our teams meticulously study the client’s needs and ideas, to have a thorough understanding of the business. We also get in touch with the client for additional details or missing data. An invoice for 50% of the total project cost is emailed to the client. On receiving the payment, we commence with project execution.
Across all phases, variations within scope of the specific milestone under review are always done at no additional cost. We move on to the next phase only after the current milestone is reviewed and signed off by the client.
All interim deliverables are sent for review in secure pdf. The project once complete and paid for is emailed in editable format.
eCommerce Market Research
A complete market research report is sent to the client. The research carried out by our team is secondary in nature and includes data freely available from the public domain. Consequently, any kind of primary survey, voting, paid research reports and paid databases are excluded from the research scope. Our team send’s the draft artifact to the client. After analysis and feedback, the required changes within scope are undertaken. The client then receives this modified version of the market research. When finally approved and signed off, the first milestone is considered as complete.
To proceed with the next phase, an invoice amounting to 25% of the project value is raised and sent to the client for payment processing. Once done, we proceed to the next milestone.
Draft Business Planning
In this phase, we identify and document strategies for different functional sections. We focus on the problem and highlight the solution a client’s business aims to achieve. The draft also includes a sales and marketing strategy, operations strategy, business model, and other relevant sections. Once complete, we send a draft version to the client for review. Like the preceding phase, this segment is also edited and changes incorporated based on client requirements. On sign-off by the client, this second phase is considered as complete.
To proceed with the next phase, an invoice amounting to 25% of the project value is raised and sent to the client for payment processing. Once done, we proceed to the next milestone.
eCommerce Financial Projections
This phase usually commences, once the text or content portion of the business plan is complete. We send an excel sheet to the client for their inputs, after which the team prepares a detailed financial projection for the business. It includes pro forma financial statements like sales and revenues, operating expenses, valuations balance sheet, cash flow and profit and loss, along with relevant graphs and tables. This financial projection report, once completed is sent to the client.
On sign-off by the client, this third phase is considered as complete.
eCommerce Investor Deck and Design
Depending on the business plan package selected, on completion of the financial section, we create an investor deck in the form of a PowerPoint presentation which encapsulates the key features of the business plan in around 20 slides. The business plan and PowerPoint investor deck are designed professionally, to ensure that they truly stand out amongst the rest.
Where the investor deck and design services are not part of the business plan package, we offer these services to clients at an additional cost.
